Our aquatic-plant project has involved both trying to get rid of the bad ones (weeds) and promote the good ones (native plants).
If you want to mechanically cut your weeds the association has a mechanical weed cutter that can be used. To defray cost we ask for a contribution to the association for its use. Contact Keith Kluzak at 507-450-8550 cell or 507-645-0518 or keith_
The May early June time frame is the time to cut before the plants go to seed. Also remember if you cut, to clean up (remove) the plants you cut from the lake. Do not let them drift off and become an issue for your neighbors.
